Senator systems studies in the ambient smoke levels in a zone and adjusts the alarm thresholds according to the daily work cycle to ensure early detection of fires and prevent false alarms.

HOW IT WORKS?

Senator is an aspiring smoke detection system that constantly samples the air in a protected area and measures the amount of smoke particles present in the air. When the amount of smoke particles in the air goes above the alarm threshold, Senator triggers the fire alarm to indicate the occurrence of a fire in an area.

What sets Senator apart from other conventional smoke detectors is its ability to adapt to the daily work cycle of the protected area. As shown in the graphic below, the ambient amount of smoke particles in the air varies according to the daily work cycle with more smoke particles present in the air during the day when human traffic is higher.

With conventional smoke detectors, this daily cycle becomes a problem as conventional detectors have a fixed alarm threshold regardless of the ambient conditions. Set the threshold too high, and you risk late detection of flames, set it too low and you risk the occurrence of false alarms.

Senator solves this issues with its ClassiFire® Perceptive Artificial Intelligence process that adapts the alarm threshold to a room’s ambient conditions, ensuring a constant sensitivity to smoke.
