Since its inception, Argonite has been a staple in the Malaysian market, withstanding the test of time through its simple, yet effective working principles, and the continued hardware improvements made to increase its efficiency.
Argonite Fire Protection System
A trusted & reliable partner in fire protection
HOW IT WORKS?
Argonite is an inert gas system that discharges a 50:50 mix of argon and nitrogen during fire incidents to suppress any flames. The working principle behind it is simple, yet effective: when Argonite is discharged into a room, it floods the room with non-reactive argon and nitrogen gas, reducing the concentration of oxygen gas in the room from 21% to 10-13%.
The lowered oxygen concentration cuts off one of the main components needed for a fire to maintain itself – oxygen. While fires cannot be maintained at 10-13% oxygen, this level of oxygen is still sufficient for humans to function and safely evacuate during a discharge incident.
Features
Safe
Argonite’s 50:50 mix of argon and nitrogen is safe for personnel and equipment exposure at design concentrations
Environmentally Friendly
Compared to industry alternatives, Argonite’s discharge agent is 100% environmentally friendly, posing ZERO Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and ZERO Global Warming Potential (GWP)
Effective
Argonite is fast acting against must all the hazards and mitigates charge for eliminates. In addition, Argonite’s long holding time eliminates any risk of re-ignition.
Easy to Maintain
Argonite’s maintenance and refilling cost is lower relative to competitor systems. Moreover, it can be easily self-maintained with easy-to-read gauges on every cylinder enabling convenient inspection of cylinder content.
Clean
Argonite gas is colourless, odorless, non-toxic, non-corrosive, and leaves zero post-fire residue all equipment, making it suitable for areas with delicate equipment and low accessibility.
Applications
Argonite specializes in protecting high-value assets as well as vulnerable equipment. It is the preferred solution for any premise not suitable for water based fire protection:
